Seal of Distinction Awards
The Seal of Distinction program honors association boards and managers who lead communities that are great places to own and live. These association leaders actively demonstrate that the best way to serve their members is through understanding, funding and following Best Practices. Earning the Seal of Distinction (a 3-year honor) is not only an achievement to be proud of, but also a tangible asset for home values in the association.
Special Awards
Introduced at the 2025 Community Associations Institute North Carolina Annual Conference and Expo, the award honors the memory of Susan Rouanzion, who was a vital contributor to the chapter and the community association industry. The inaugural award was presented to Christina Yepes, a community manager with Slatter Management, who performed lifesaving CPR on a homeowner who went into cardiac arrest during a board meeting.
Additionally, Christina received a National Award
through CAI for the ‘Act of Courage’ award.

Toys for Tots
Slatter Management annually endorses Toys for Tots via the local CAI-NC chapter. Toys for Tots provides hope to children in need.
